Nothing wrong with Bert and his affinity towards MOPAR. Those older vintage muscle cars were and still are a collector’s dream.
Regarding Bert, he is one of the best Winchester firearms subject matter experts along with Michael. I am a relative newbie to WACA but was a follower of the Gun Forum prior to that. I would on occasion fire (no pun intended) a private e-mail to Bert concerning many questions I had to which he would immediately respond back with a comprehensive and informative response.
I am still amazed at how “full his plate” is with his addressing questions on the internets Gun Forum, The WACA Forum, personal e-mails, ongoing research at Cody, records keeping just to mention a few.
Thank-you Bert for all you do for the collecting community at large and your willingness to respond to each and every inquiry posed to you. That in itself is amazing!
It goes without saying, you are indeed a valuable, knowledgeable and highly respected individual in the Winchester firearms arena!
He needs to write a book. Wait!! Him and Larry did write a book or two. The two of them are quite knowledgeable. Another guy who justly needs to be mentioned, is my friend Jeff or JWA. He too is a person to go to, especially on 22 rifles. His knowledge does not end there however, he knows a little about a lot. I know this man personally, and can tell you he is a perfect gentleman, and will take time to help us in our quest for gun knowledge. He is quite busy most of the time, but manages to help anyone when the need arises. OK Jeff. I gave you a plug, so dinner for Tom and I will be on you next time. Thanks for all you do. Big Larry
