OfflineRIA is putting on.the Ritz in August for WACA,.per Heather’s email.blast. Is anybody going?
I am contemplating taking the War Department along with handcuffs and duct tape to keep me from bidding on anything. The same as I would do when shopping in the Casbah for pieces of the True Cross.

OfflineI took them up on their gracious offer last year and saw some awesome guns and incredible bidding wars. I understand RIA is going to furnish our guest auctioneer at the fall TGCA show, Kevin put on a great sale last time he did it for us. Graham scored a few nice ones while we were there.

OfflineI can’t afford it , every thing I’m drooling on is $30,000.00 to $90,000.00 , so pretty much leaves Me in the pauper section. If I spent $30,000.00 on a piece there, it would cost Me app. $65,000.00 Cdn. by time I got it home

But you do have a lot of nice rifles…. It probably takes you a while to wipe them all down

I don’t deal with RIA. Anything worth buying goes for a ridiculous price. Since I can’t go the their business and look at the guns I won’t buy sight unseen. After a few phone calls to them I have found their descriptions do not match their guns in some cases.
Chuck, I was only thinking about the free hotel room and the banquet. I just thought i’d go and watch the elephants fight from a safe distance.

It is very enjoyable and they make a pretty good Bloody Mary-but one morning I had to remind them to shake the mixer. Poor bartender must have pulled a late shift the night before. And Bill is right about the elephant fight but quite often it’s an online bidder battling a phone bidder. Kevin let us set up a TGCA recruiting table in the hallway at a premier show last year and his staff certainly made us feel welcome. I had just written my last (almost) check for tornado renovations days before that show so I was in no position to buy…but a couple of 95’s late in the show may have had me checking my account balance!
