I’m sure this has been discussed, but I obviously missed it. How do I find an old post of mine from several years ago? When I run a search now, nothing shows up that was posted before 2013. In fact, when I click on "View My Posts", it will only shows those after 1/1/13. What am I doing wrong?

I just checked it using my own name & account, and it only brought up everything back to January of 1913. I do not know why it is limiting the time period.

Do you think the older posts prior to 2013 are archived somewhere, and we just need to know how to access it?

I honestly do not know the answer to that question. I tried everything that I could do to access older topics, but they appear to be lost in the cyber world. I will inquire with Michael Hager to see if he can explain what has happened to them.

I have found the same date limit to be true. I was looking for an old post on my Model 1892 rifles in the 6400 serial number range and it is gone.

OK,
After doing some additional digging, I discovered a way to display at least some older posts (prior to January 2013).
Once you are inside the topic string, find one of your posts, and then click the "Profile" link in the lower left corner. It will open a window with your basic user information. Under the "Total Posts", in brown there is a link "[color=darkred:19b69167ad]Find all posts by oakridge[/color:19b69167ad]" click that, and it will open a list of topics that you have posted in. I was able to go back as far as 2009 for some of mine.
