Nice bucks Burt, lots of fellas out there that wish they could get one of that size in their life time yet alone 6 consecutive years  as a teen ager.  Well done!  Your father must of been very proud of you…..  The first year my son could hunt (age 12) he shot a beautiful 10 point, he has yet to shoot a better one and he will be 37 in May!

Best,

Erin

Burt,

Great story about your old 94, and some impressive South Dakota Whitetails.

Thanks for sharing,

Al

Wow, those are some great looking white-tail bucks and I enjoyed the story as well. So are talking close to Wall or Murdo?

Ok, sounds more like the Philip area.

Nope, never had to buy a Jackalope. We hunt those monsters where I live. I did spend a summer in Wall building powerline in the early 90’s. Free ice water, 10 cent coffee, and reasonably priced box of South Dakota Air for the willing tourist. Don’t forget the 100′ dinosaur next to the highway.

Burt, nice Eastern carbine that looks no worse for wear given the years you hunted with it. Definitely well taken care of!
Monster white tails as well I can only dream of.
Correct me if I’m wrong, that first mount looks like a Muley?

Thanks for posting!

Went in there for biscuits and gravy while I was out wandering one morning a few years ago. Saw a humongous cinnamon roll on the counter after I ordered my biscuits and gravy. Don’t bother asking where I stopped for lunch, drove straight thru to Omaha.

Awesome bucks, every one a trophy. That old carbine has certainly earned its keep!
