The serial number you mention “7822” would make it a Model “1894” versus a “94”. S/N 7822 was manufactured in September, 1895. If the barrel is marked “MODEL 94 – 30 W.C.F.” or Model 94 – 30-30 WIN.”, it is not original to the rifle.
