


25 35 mod 94, oct barrel. Has smokless powder mark but no serial number. Never was one. What do I have?

I disagree… all Model 1894 receivers were serialized before being assembled and sold. I highly suspect that the serial number was unintentionally removed during a refinish effort, or that it was intentionally removed. The early production Model 1894 serial numbers were stamped less aggressively than the later receivers. Which style is the upper tang marking? Can you post a clear picture of the receiver frame where the serial number should be?
