Hard to believe the Cody show is a little over six weeks off! Looking forward to seeing many of you and hoping your summer is off to a great start. Last time I checked I was out of trading material so it looks like I’ll be bringing a little eye candy.
Who’s coming? What are you bringing?
Mike
Sights, Model 70,73/86/94 parts, 38″ Winchester Double sided sign, big Winchester chevron sign, a nice 1927 era Winchester die cut, original Winchester ’73 movie poster (from Argentina) a set of WWI Unique powder company framed large prints, Griffin & Howe mounts & related items, duplicates of my books, my early Winchester boxed center fire & rimfire ammo and a couple dozen rifles or so… this will be my first trip to Cody and I’m looking forward to the adventure. I will have 3 tables full, so send me a message if you are looking for anything in particular… I confess to hoarding this stuff and it’s time to let some of it go to the next care taker…
I will be there with Ben’s Model 75 Sporting rifle and a few remaining Model 69 books.
I will be in “buy” mode but will probably have some junk .22 rifles on the table to get rid of after cleaning out the closet.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Could never make the Cody show because of wife’s job at the county courthouse. Treasurer’s office and tax season January and July were tax time. She retired this past spring so we’re planning on showing up. Strickly observers, no buying or selling. (we’ll see how that goes). Rat Rod Mac

Looking forward to meeting you,Rat Rod Mac, our table is #7; that’s first row, seventh from the front door. If you’re not a WACA member this would be a good time to look into joining, admission to the show is a benefit of membership!

For some reason I suspected that but your profile says “WACA Guest”.

JWA, I won’t be making it, but be sure to stop by for lunch with me and Tom at Bruno’s. Big Larry
Big Larry-
Folks like you are why I go to collector shows. I’d sure like to talk .22’s with you someday. Maybe you could even teach me about milsurps. We both like S&W’s but mine are all well worn match guns or well traveled carry guns. I wish you could be there.

Larry,
If Mike likes S&W’s, you might want to show him your minty 1939 vintage .38/44 Outdoorsman with Humpback Hammer and the original box. It’s a beauty for sure.

I knew an officer who carried a 38-44 much of his career. In his day officers were not allowed to .357 Magnum ammunition in their revolvers. Even in retirement he carried it in his pocket when working security at a local grain mill. I never had the honor of working with him but would check on him when I could.

Will do, either on the way up or down, depending upon my schedule. Looking forward to seeing you and Tom again!
Hope you are doing well.

Yeah Mike, that WACA Guest does not surprise me. We were on the phone with Heather Martin a couple of weeks ago about an issue and she informed us about our contact information being all screwed up. Wrong everything. E- mail address, home address, phone numbers. Seems nothing was updated from way back when I joined. She straightened it out for us. Very nice lady. I was even a life member of the Winchester Collectors Club back in the day and still have some of the magazines that they put out.
Hey Jeff thanks for the invit. Looking forward to seeing you and Elliot again. See ya, Scott
My wife Georgia & I will be there. This will be our 25th consecutive Cody show! Started attending back in 1998 when we returned from Australia. Had lots of fine Winchester stuff back then but not so much anymore. Will be bringing a Model 52B Bull Gun w/ BalVar 6×20 scope s well as a Model 52B Sporting Rifle with a nice Leupold Vari-X 6.5×20 scope. A couple of nice Model ’92 SRC’s in 25-20 caliber as well a as new Model 94 carbine in pristine condition. There is also a 2nd Model 1873 SRC in .32 W.C.F. in the mix and a low-wall in .44 W.C.F. Lots of shotguns including 4 Parkers that I am selling for a good friend’s widow. All and all will have 4 tables and about 40 guns.

I almost sold it when I downsized. My friend looked it over and decided he could not shoot it, so he passed. Good thing as I sold $10,000 worth of guns to him, and that’s all the $$$$ I needed. Someone in my family will inherit it. Thanks Bill. Big Larry

Hi Mike. I think we have a lot in common. I’ve slowed down on my S&W’s to buy up real nice Winchester M1906’s, but as you know, the nice ones are extremely hard to find and expensive. Bad bores, re bbls., missing parts, no finish, is about all you run into these days. I did manage to buy a near mint nickel plated 1920, M1902 .38 Special. Nicest one I have ever seen. Had to have it. Mike, keep your eyes open, and listen to folks like JWA and Mr. Hill. Both are super smart and great guys. I am proud to call them friends. Big Larry

Hi Rick. I still have that 25-35 SRC I bought from you a few years back, but, the WIN 13 is gone. I gave it back to the person who gave it to me as it was in his Dads name and his Dad had passed. I also gave him my last 03-A3, and that 2-43 M1 Carbine you liked. He also got my 1943 M1911A1 Colt and the Van Orden Sniper he had given me. I got rid of many guns. Kept my minty M97 Trenchgun. Have a great show my friend. Big Larry
