No, it is not correct.  What is the serial number on your Model 1894?  (so that I can confirm the date of manufacture, and the corresponding factory markings it should have on it)

The serial number you provided is NOT a 1912 production Model 1894.  Instead, it indicates a 1991 production Model 94 manufactured by the U.S. Repeating Arms Company.

Danrr, you might want to post some photos (https://winchestercollector.org/forum/forum-rules-and-faqs/posting-pictures-2024/) and clarify your question(s) for us. Multiple good photos preferred!

We still need to see pictures of your Model 1894.  What is the barrel length? Round or octagon barrel?

Dan,

Your Model 1894 is a standard “Sporting Rifle” with a 26-inch round barrel.  The Winchester marking should be on the left-hand side of the barrel just forward of the rear sight (as shown in the picture I have attached).  If you cannot clearly see the roll marking, the barrel has most likely been subjected to a buffing device.

No problem and happy that you got it all figured out. Did you find the Winchester marking on the barrel?
