One has to wonder why there would be no factory info on a gun like this. And wouldn’t it be nice to go back to 1902, pay for this gun in cash and head home with it.

Per the ARMAX survey, there were 2,067 Model 1894 ledger entries that were blank, and another 184 that were listed as receivers or parts only. Your Model 1894 Fancy Take Down Rifle was apparently one of them. In my research of the Single Shot and several other models, blank ledger record entries are not uncommon.

I got 2 of those cases, 1 for a 26′ t.d. and the other for a 22″ t.d.. Thanks Bert, I realize it was not uncommon for a guns info to be not recorded in the ledger, however I do find it odd for Winchester to do that. I have a few of ’em. I also got the picture sizing figured out, with a little help from one of the mini-Meros.
