Hello the fire,
Hey I have a question,
On the 1894 carbine how was the front sight base attached to the barrel this is a 1894, made in 1895 the carbine’s caliber is 38-55. Some how over the years this sight has gotten knocked over to the right is there any fix?
Thanks for looking,
cba

If the base is bent, then it will take a gunsmith to fix it since the base is silver soldered on to the barrel. but if the inserts is bent then it just a matter of straightening it or replacing it. The insert is held in with a pin you knock out.
