I have a 4 digit serial numbered solid frame 44 wcf. It has 80% blue on the frame. The barrel has almost all the blue. Real nice wood. It has a Marbles rear sight that looks to have been there most of its life. I’ll try to get a few pictures up tomorrow if You are interested.

Serial # 3728 (1925). It is a 32 W.C.F, steel shotgun butt, solid frame with nickel steel barrel and is 97-98%. It is original and correct in all respects (has a Lyman Middlefield disc tang sight with the locking mechanism which I believe is correct for the period and looks original to the gun but you never know – I have never removed it). It has excellent wood and wood to metal fit, a perfect bore and no buggered screws. The butt plate has some minor pitting which I believe was caused by sitting on a concrete floor at some point. I have had it about 40 years and bought it from a collector who had owned it for a long time – it has not been in an auction or on the gun show circuit. You don’t see a Model 53 with this kind of blue anymore (especially on the receiver). If interested send me a PM and I can get you more pictures. Burt
