OfflineQuick search and Abebooks wants $165. There are some on Amazon for a lot more money.

I have a copy you could borrow for a few months if that would be helpful. It’s not an especially good reference book IMHO but it does give some valuable (if a bit tedious) insight into the internal workings of Marlin and some of the other players during that time period.

thanks Chuck. I saw those, but thought I’d ask to see if anyone here had one they would part with. Some of the prices on line seem very high.
I agree about the prices. The market fluctuates as the inventory online rises and falls. A lot of times you can make them an offer. I have negotiated lower prices more than once.

Mike,
That is very kind of you, but I would like to add one to my library because I see some interesting Marlins for sale from time to time, and would like to have a reference to refer to.
Thanks,
Al

They must fluctuate because it seems that just a few months ago I was seeing them for sale in the $90 range.

You’re quite welcome, that’s exactly why I keep it around. Not a big Marlin fan but they do come along now and then. I found the parallels between Winchester, Marlin, Colt, et al very interesting and Brophy takes the time to explain the events of the early days of Marlin in great detail.
