Had a package from JWA in my PO Box tonight! Some very nice Lyman sights were carefully packed inside and they’re now on my 75. I’ll be repairing a water line, mowing the yard and probably killing a few fire ants this weekend but I feel pretty sure this old 75 will somehow finally make it to the range.
Thanks, Jeff! I hope I shoot well enough to post pics.

I count JWA as one of my few friends. He is a great go to guy and a very generous person. Very smart too. His Mom gave me $25 to say these nice things about him. Big Larry

Like several folks around here he’s also a wealth of information and I’d be remiss if I didn’t thank you for your help with this project, Larry. I’ve learned more from you two about these rifles than I’ve been able to uncover elsewhere. I haven’t gotten around to adding any books on .22’s to my growing reference library so I’m having to rely on some pretty sparse info from other sources. The books I’m considering aren’t cheap and it seems every time I buy one book on Amazon I buy several. Can’t really gripe, tho. They earn their keep.

JWA’s book on 22’s will be a must have for any Winchester 22 collector. It is forthcoming , soon, I hope. I now rely mostly on Madis’s big book although many of the later model 22’s are not in there. I also have an old 1966 Winchester book. Some errors, but just a few. Hey, if you are ever in my neck of the woods,(Cedar City), come on over and shoot some of my 10 M75’s. All different. Big Larry

Looking forward to JWA’s book on the 75, may add a few other books to my little reference library while I’m waiting. I’d like to meet you and shoot a 75 or two, sounds like a good time. I’ve considered firing my boss and taking a little time off to travel, may just do it someday.

If you don’t want to shoot the M75’s, I have plenty of M52’s and 40X’s to shoot. I have well over 80 22’s of all types. Big Larry

Thanks, Larry. Over on another site we have a name for folks like you, Vince and Jeff. We call you enablers, lol. Thanks to you guys I’m beginning to develop a genuine interest in Winchester 22’s. IMHO the beauty of collecting .22’s is that almost all can be taken to the range and enjoyed on a regular basis. On top of that they are very enjoyable to shoot! Before I came here I honestly had little or no interest in Winchester .22’s. Thanks to enablers like you three all that has changed.
