I’m looking for an original butt plate and the corresponding screws for my M1912, SN 10827 in 20 gauge.

Best wishes

Your best bet is to look for one on ebay. If you find one and need a U.S. based buyer to purchase it for you, please let me know and I will help you get it.

Stephan,

I have a Winchester hard rubber butt plate that I believe came off a model 12, Please list the dimensions of the stock as far as the height, width and center to center on the screw holes where the plate would mount.

, check out the pics and see if it looks right.

3rd pic. overall length is 5.0″

4th pic.  Width is 1.532″

5th pic. is spot on for hole spacing.

I do not have the proper screws for it………..

$25 US plus whatever it costs to get it across the pond.  This is an original, not a reproduction.

Erin

The butt plate has arrived. Thanks very much. It is a bit smaller than the butstock, but I believe that I have read that the rearstock was sanded and adjusted with the butt plate mounted. Am I right?

Stefan,

That butt plate looks just about perfect to me. The wood should be proud to the plate. Looks like the crack in the stock near the toe is messing up the fit in that area.

Stef,

You are correct, the final sanding was done with the butt plate mounted for a “flush” fit. (wood will tend to be slightly oversized) I would say we did get the correct one. I had just checked the tracking yesterday on the butt plate, it took 3 weeks to arrive!  Seems like a long time……

Glad it worked out!

For normal mail, it took relatively quickly. Customs processing took at least a week.

It took 3 months for a scope I sent to Germany to reach the buyer.
