Bert,
I suppose that’s an option. And I’m thinking if someone were good enough, the repair could be hard if not impossible to see… but it’s a fairly sizeable crack through both sides of the stock.
Im sure many would disagree with me but I lean toward preferring a factory original, era correct, and uncracked replacement stock over a repaired version of the original-to-the-rifle stock. At least in regard to a 64 deluxe rifle in very good condition.

Bert,
I agree with you. They are seldom seen for sale. I bought one a couple years back because it was advertised as a Winchester 71 deluxe stock. Once it arrived it was quickly apparent that it was for a model 64 deluxe so I returned it. I sure wished I hadn’t done that now!

As a side note Bert,I don’t know if this one is already in your survey, but it’s a “W” stamped receiver 64.
serial number: 1255098
Joel,
It is not in the survey… please fill me in on the details (caliber, variation, etc.)
Thanks,
Bert
