I’m hoping someone might have a few extra pounds of 5744. I’m soon to be getting a 1885 in 50-110 and have heard that is/was a great powder for that caliber. Unfortunately, I can’t find any. Any help would be appreciated including load data and maybe a suitable substitute for 5744 if none is available.

Shooters World Buffalo Rifle is a direct replacement for 5744. It is made in the Czech Republic by Lovex. It is marketed in Europe as Lovex D060-01. Bottled for US market by Shooters World LLC as Buffalo Rifle. Also Accurate Powder has recently produced 5744 in Canada. I just bought a few pounds. Saw it in 3 shops Tuesday.
