You can’t tell the difference between good repo’s and the originals.

Any chance you have a lead on someone selling either an original or good repo? A google search turns up a ton of reproduction rods for sale, but every one I found was out of stock or already sold.
Look at Bobs post #20 here. Then look at the replies on the feedback of these rods. They sound excellent.

Yeah, but they’ve been out of stock for a long time. It makes me think they’re not being made anymore.
Buffalo Arms sold original style Winchester cleaning rods made like originals. The last couple years they only offered rifle four and five piece rods, not the carbine type. Carbine rods have three longer segments. I don’t know who was making them, but maybe someone knows of a source. T/R
Chuck,
Three pieces of a rifle rod gives you 21″, just barely long enough. The carbine three piece gives you 23″. Most people probably wouldn’t know, but not correct.
When I buy a Winchester with a trapdoor for rods, it does not make any monetary difference with or without rods because most are repro and you can’t tell if aged properly. T/R
