The book says to use 45 Basic.  But Basic is very hard to find.

The rim diameter on the 45-90 is .007″ smaller but may work?  It may or may not extract well. 

The head diameter on the 45-90 is .003″ smaller but may work? 

The rim thickness on the 45-90 is .006″ thicker.  It would have to be made thinner.  Not a big problem if you don’t mind messing up the head stamp. If you take too much off you may have to re cut the primer pocket deeper.  But this is not a problem.  Or a machinist can cut the rim on the proper side. 

In my opinion I’d try fire forming some 40-82 brass.  Buy a couple and see if they will fit.
