You need a Model “1894” barrel, and depending on when exactly in 1905 the rifle was manufactured, the barrel may or may not need to have a proof mark on it. It was in May of 1905 that Winchester began stamping the superposed “WP” proof marks on the barrel and receiver frame. Additionally, the caliber marking needs to be on the top barrel flat versus on the 10 o’clock flat.
