#3, 30″, excellent bore, about 95% blue, except for one scrape down to bare metal measuring about 1/2 x 1/4″. Has been D&T into (as usual!) the top markings, but that was one of the reasons I originally bought it–because I intended to mount a scope. It’s an Outside Fitted barrel that I suspect was built before WRA introduced its own line of scopes in 1909, because the scope blocks are early Stevens (which, however, also fit 1909 mounts–I used an A5 scope when shooting it). The rifle it was taken from must have been equipped with a sling, because it has the dovetailed block & eye for “S” hook swivels fitted to underside of barrel ahead of forearm. Comes with extractor & mainspring block, but not forearm screw block.
Price–$300 plus shipping. There’s NO WAY I can make a photo that will look like anything but a black broomstick, but it is returnable if not 100% satisfactory. Further info: 518-946-7117.
Shooting it with match grade bullets, my best groups were sub-2 MOA; about 1-3/4″, but now I have restored the original barrel to the rifle it had been mounted on, in preparation for selling it.
