There’s a couple 1894 trappers for sale out there, but are on quite opposite ends of the spectrum regarding price and condition. Pretty slim pickins otherwise.

Based on my current survey numbers, your odds are greatest finding a 15-inch Trapper. Of the (828) Trappers I have documented this far, (613) of them have a 15-inch barrel. Be prepared to pay a steep price for one!Bert
That leaves only 215 that are 12”/14”/16”/18”. I would’ve thought there were more 16” trappers than 15”. Good to know.

Hi. WTB a trapper. I’m looking for a Winchester Trapper 1894 30WCF 30-30. I don’t mind a shooter in well used condition. I would prefer one under 16” and that is preapproved on the ATF list but I would open to anything. Thanks for the help!
Here’s a 15″ Model 94 that was just listed on Leroy Merz’s website. Far from a high condition piece, but really not bad for a trapper. I think the price is rather reasonable as well. I don’t think this one will last long at that price. I’ve seen others in lesser condition sell for more money.
About a year ago, I paid close to double the price of the Merz gun:

Sale pending–knew it wouldn’t last long. If I had the extra money, I would have bought it…Don
Don,
I saw that this morning too, and thought not a bad price for a trapper. You’re right, didn’t last long.

I’m just getting back to this link. I had unexpected brain surgery and was in recovery for a few months and I missed the Merz’s gun deerhunter mentioned. It would have been great deal. I’m still looking for a 1894 30wcf 30-30 15” in anyone has any leads or wants to sell one. I would prefer a shooter or lesser grade gun. Also, does anyone have any thoughts on the collector firearms one mentioned above? It has a shortened stock and has been there for a while.

Sorry to hear about your health issues. I hope you’re on the mend.
I’ve owned two 14” trappers. They’re a unique carbine for sure. If you’re buying a 15” trapper as a collector, shortened wood is not the way to go. It will affect resale value considerably and the reason why it’s been for sale this long.

To have owned two 14″ M1894 Trappers is an impressive feat
Those are beautiful!
Does anyone have an all original fully functional and shootable fair/poor condition 1894 30wcf 15” they would want to sell. And preferably cleared on the BATF list. I don’t have the funds to purchase a high condition example but I don’t mind a low condition one that I can shoot and enjoy. Thanks.
