Well Canadian WACA members, this is your chance to acquire a gorgeous, very high condition, special order original Winchester Model 1894 chambered in 38-55 and shipped in 1905. They say the sun tells no lies, so in addition to the detailed photos further below, here is one shot in direct sunlight. Note the bright fire-blue loading gate and the brilliant case colours on the lever and hammer. You don’t see a gorgeous, completely original 111 year-old Winchester in this high of condition every day.

Received in warehouse: July 10, 1905
Shipped from warehouse: July 10, 1905, order number 15546
Condition: Completely original and un-messed with. I would put this rifle at around 95% to 98%. There are bright case colours on the lever and hammer and the loading gate is a bright fire-blue. All screws are immaculate. The bore is essentially mint with sharp rifling, a 10 out of 10.
Price/Trades: I will sell it for $Cdn 4,750 ($US 3,627 at current exchange rates) shipped within Canada or do a partial trade for something in the list below.
Will Consider a cash-trade for one of the following:
- Winchester Model 1873 in at least 80% condition, preferably in 38-40 caliber or 32-20
- Winchester Model 1894, 38-55 caliber in standard configuration with full octagon barrel, preferably shipped prior to 1900 in about 85% condition but not much higher, as I would like to be able to shoot it sometimes.
- Winchester Model 1892, 38-40 caliber with full octagon barrel in at least 85% condition
Detailed Photos:
Beautiful rifle. I’m curious. I checked with ATF and they said that to import a firearm you would need an import permit, good for two years. The application to obtain one is form 5330.3A. Does any member here have an import permit? I have a C&R, but according to ATF, I would need to obtain the import permit,or the gun can be sent to someone holding an import permit, then transferred to the buyer. Has anyone here ever imported a firearm from Canada and provide guidance?
Thanks,
Al
Al it costs app. $300.00 per gun to export from Canada to the U.S., plus shipping and the process takes about 2 months. For formal info here,s the folks to call; Borderview International firearms logistics in Aldergrove B.C. and Lynden Washington 1-800-604-3698. Henry
