I know many of you are not Winchester .22 rim fire collectors but here is a posting of the link to the Publisher’s website where the book “The Winchester Model 69 – Evolution in Design” is available.
https://www.rimfirepublications.com
The books is 450+ pages and has 1300+ drawings and images. Genuine bonded leather bound and printed in the USA. Cover price is $79.99.
Only bad news is that it is currently only available to be shipped to the 50 U.S. States. Apparently there were some sort of GST changes last year for NZ and AUS that their website has not caught up with yet. Sorry Mates! They are having a different issue with Canada. I will continue to work with them on the problem but in the meantime, U.S. only.
There is an option for signed books on the website at no extra charge, just check the appropriate box when ordering.
Shipping is combined for multiple book purchases on the same order. The same flat rate is used for 1 or more.
Let me know if there are any questions. Thanks!
Best Regards,
Jeff

As stated ,no shipping to Canada.Tried to order a copy and received the message of not shipping to my address.![]()
Hi 28 Gauge,
I am working with them to find out the issue with Canada, it seems it is a multi-facet issue. One problem is with the border being closed and large delays in Media Mail getting up there. The second issue is with the shipping, for some reason it is very pricey to ship to Canada. It is actually cheaper to ship the book to Australia than it is to Canada. Shipping for a single book is quoted at $50+ which just doesn’t seem right as it is only $9 to ship coast to coast in the U.S.
As soon as we get the issue resolved I will let you know. If you really, really need a copy now PM me and we will see what we can work out for me to be able to ship one to you personally.
Best Regards,
Jeff

Another iPad success, got a message the book shipped today. I think it’s safe to say the 69 is the rifle that started my Winchester .22 journey even though I’d bought a 75 the previous year and a 72 a few weeks before. Can’t figure out exactly what I like about this model, probably just the gun as a whole. It’s graceful, well-built and accurate but there’s something more. Maybe your book will explain it to me. Maybe I need to go shoot that receiver sight 69A tomorrow.
Mike
Holy cow. I ordered on Friday and it showed up today. What service!
And I must say, the book is as impressive as any and BIG!
I have only thumbed through but books like this are a testament to the dedication of the folks here collecting data and making it available to us mere mortals. I can’t wait to sit down with it.
Thanks I feel privileged to have a copy.

Thanks Steve!
It was a labor of love. Hope you enjoy it.
You are in the Goldilocks zone for book shipments since they all go through the Los Angeles USPS hub before getting sorted and sent on to their final destination. I mailed one across town here in NV and it went to LA and then back to Las Vegas for delivery. Took 5 days. Go figure.

I received my copy today. This book is very impressive. I had seen the manuscript and basic layout already in Word form as it was being finished, but holding the actual book is something else entirely. The amount of information and detail that’s presented is just incredible. Along with the text, there are a ton of great images, drawings and documents. The cover and paper choice are both excellent too and I looking forward to opening it up again. You did an awesome job Jeff!

Thanks Brad, I appreciate the kind words!
The photos are not nearly as beautiful as those in your and Rob’s outstanding book on the 1895, I will keep practicing and NO more MS Word!

I wouldn’t sweat the pics, Jeff. They look great. A 69 is like a good woman; solid, reasonably attractive, well built and dependable. She won’t win any beauty pageants or break your bank account and she can really cook! Many of the guns in Brad and Rob’s book are pretty fancy and the “glamour shots” were enjoyable. I wish I could take pics like that but my guns still wouldn’t be that pretty!
Mike
Yes, they did not make any 69’s with 4X wood, gold inlay or fancy engraving (except of course for John Olin) so it was hard to take a sexy picture of any 69.
They are work-horses though and of course blued steel and walnut always look good together.
Best Regards,
Jeff
