Selling Winchester fish-hook style sling swivels.  Most likely reproductions.  Have 5 pairs available plus one single.  Asking $40.00 a pair and $20.00 for the single.  Prefer to ship in pairs only (except for the one single). Free shipping (to lower 48 only).  Please send me a PM if interested.

These are repros, because originals have a distinct recurve at the point of the “hook,” but $40 is a very good price.

Thanks Clarence.  I had a hunch these were reproductions but wasn’t positive.  I trust your observations and assessment.  If someone desired, I bet you could do a little creative bending of the hook to better mimic the originals.  Still would be a nice compliment for a Winchester with sling eyes, but missing the hooks.

Roger, or someone, posted photos of originals not too long ago.  When these were originally repro’d & sold about 30 yrs ago, first by Buckingham’s, later by others, they were provided with the eyes, which are now the hardest parts to find.  I installed them on several single shots I was hunting with at the time, & they work every bit as well as modern swivels.

This has little to do with todays prices.  I guess I’m adding this, just to make an inflation comparison.   Around 2008 I was making a reproduction of a Henry rifle sling for the cowboy action shooters.   I bought 300 of these fish hooks, at $2.00 each, from Sarco.  At the time, I bought all they had on hand.  These were very well made, well finished and had the sharp bend at the end of the hook.

Lord, wish you’d kept a few, as originals such as you had were wasted on the cowboy action shooters.

I still have several that I’ve kept for my own use, but the rest are long gone.  Back then, they were readily available.  Never thought the supply would dry up and become so expensive.

I stashed a couple of these too.  So long ago I can’t remember what I paid for them?

Just two sets left plus the single.  Didn’t realize these would be going so quick!
