Hi again Scott; Just a word of caution on the John Wayne carbine, make sure the gold color plating is intact. They were notorious for flaking if not stored properly, usually starting down beside the lever or around the loading port.

I’ve been wanting to get a John Wayne Standard. Cabelas had one for $1,300 but I thought that was too much. Now 4 months later it looks like a good deal.Looking for something around $1,600, but it has to be shipping to my FFL and I’ll pay for that on top of the price.
Scott;
