There are several original ones listed here but none specify the height. They are all by the same seller so you could send him a message about the height you need. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.X1873+Winchester+elevator.TRS1&_nkw=1873+Winchester+elevator&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_osacat=0&_odkw=1873+Winchester

Hard to tell which elevator was originally on this rifle. The serial number indicates it was made in 1902 and the 3 series or elevators were patented in 1901. Seems like either an early (unnumbered) or a 1 elevator would be correct on this rifle.

James,
I have no idea what a 3D elevator is, its not in any sight books I have. Your gun is a 1902 manufacture, I have a 1906 73 which has the 1A elevator with the 1901 patent date. The 1A is what you want.

Same here but I looked at the Numrich site since it was mentioned in the first post and they list a 3D with a lower elevation???

I agree. The 1901 patent date is the one with the thumb piece at the rear of the elevator.

And is $75 typical for an original part?

James,
That is the one. I haven’t shopped around to see if there are better prices out there.

Wayne,
If you have the Sight Book it shows the profiles real nicely.
