Well used/ little finish is preferable as it will go on a buddy’s 30 WCF that came with a hideous rubber shotgun butt pad. It’s going to be hunted with in Louisiana.
Also used on the Model 55 and 64, as well as 1892 after SN# 98,000, according to Pirkle
Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

The butt plate shown in your picture was used on the Models 53, 54, 55, and 94… never on the Model 64. If it was used on the Model 1892, it would have been a special order only.
