I would like to sell my early, first year (1932) production Winchester Model 62 with Serial Number 10166 in .22 S, L and LR, 23 inch round barrel with flat muzzle and includes a Lyman mounted tang sight.
This early model has the short fore end and checkered steel butt plate. The receiver has about 95% of its original blue but it has some flaking and very light pitting on the top, right side of the receiver.
The breech block has most of its blue but shows some flaking. Top and bottom tang and receiver bottom has most of their original blue but the trigger guard has a small scuff mark with some blue missing. The barrels and magazine tube still have about 95% of its blue.
The stock has about all its finish but shows some discoloration and some weathering near the butt plate. The fore end wood has all its finish. The front sight has been replaced by a Lyman front sight that looks like it may be a little higher to accommodate the slightly higher Lyman tang sight. It has a perfect bore. (I acquired this Model 62 from Ken Engstrom about 16 years ago.)
Please ask here or via PM if you have any questions or want more pictures.
Priced at $1000 plus actual shipping cost to an FFL or C and R that will accept the gun directly from me when I provide copy of Driver’s License, etc.
Thanks for looking.
