SOLD.

Reduced to $200.00 each or $400 for both boxes.  Here are two boxes of “WINCHESTER SUPER SPATTERPRUF” .22 SHORT Gallery Cartridges with 500 cartridges in each box, code “SSP22S”.  Described as “22 SHORT RIM FIRE GALLERY CARTRIDGES WITH DISINTEGRATING BULLET”.

Both boxes are full and in excellent condition.  Most cartridges have split or starting to split brass cases as seen in the photos.

I have more pictures of the box sides and bottom if you’d like to see those.

PM for questions, etc.

Reduced to $200 each, or $400 for the pair plus UPS Ground shipping.

Very old brass may split at the case mouth, but I’ve never seen anything like this.  What could be the cause?  Certainly not age alone, as I have ammo considerably older than this in perfect condition, except for lead oxide on the bullets, & bullets of these are very clean.

I think it is the composition of the bullet material.  They are not lead bullets.

Maybe some kind of clay material as described on the back of the box as shown in one of the photos.

Otherwise, they look good.

Here’s the back of the box:
