For Sale Winchester 1894 Spruce Gun|Winchester Swap Meet|Forum|Winchester Collector

I have a Spruce gun I purchased back in 2021 that unfortunately I need to sell due to money constraints. I reached out to Mr Bert Hartman who verified it and said I could use his name and opinion on the gun in my posting and recommended posting it to this forum. It is a J.C. ‘17 marked gun which Bert said was only 1 of 33 of that variant known to exist out of the 293 Spruce guns that have been verified. It is in rough esthetic condition but it is functional with a pretty good bore(I have shot approximately a box of ammo through it). The wrist in the stock was cracked when I purchased it and I stabilized it to the best of my ability with epoxy. Has some pitting and rust on the left side of the receiver and barrel. Also the stud is in place but it is missing the saddle ring on the stud. Serial number is 838428. I am more than happy to answer all questions and to send pictures via email or text to anyone who is interested. Asking $3,000 as Bert recommended but open to reasonable offers.
