As I said before, just because you don’t like it, that doesn’t make it wrong. I stated a fact about this rifle, the same as i try to describe its flaws when i see them. That is my intent. I can’t make anything appear as it is not. Most people who have bought winchesters from me on the internet, say the same thing, ‘The gun is better than described’. That is my only intention. Thanks, Dana

It’s just my opinion, but perhaps you are advertising your items to the wrong crowd. We are a very passionate and knowledgeable group of collectors here that can easily identify misinformation. Intentional misinformation/misrepresentation has no place here and sometimes gets hostile. I think you’re doing your reputation and your items more harm than good by blatantly ignoring the accurate sources of information in an attempt to “fluff” your items. It seems many times you post something for sale here, it ends up in an argument. That doesn’t seem like a very good sales tactic. As a WACA member, I personally would expect more than that, but that’s just me. Gunbroker, for good reason, has been getting a very “buyer beware” reputation lately and instances as this are just feeding that image. Just my take…

I am also a paying member of the Winchester Collectors Association. I advertise items for sale here in this category that may be of interest to some members. I have done business with several members here in the past and as far as I know, they were satisfied. If not, I am sure I would of heard. For members here, who do not know me or have not done business with me, to call me a crook, is par for the course with internet forums. Easy to hide behind a computer name. Thanks, Dana
Why not nip it and post the Madis date and the Polishing Room date and call it good? Then nobody would have any reason to “hide behind their computer name” and call you a “crook.” Better than trying to convince everyone the world is flat.

Dane Ryan (dane62): I see you have deleted most of your posts on this thread but regarding crooks and hiding behind computer names, click on any member’s “handle” on this website and you will see their real names and locations (except your location).

I really value Honesty and am pleasantly surprised at new exposure to Government corruption by Wikileaks etc. and have optimism that somethings may be cleaned up, and more open ,especially disgustingly manipulated financial markets where I trade, by greedy conspiring colluding, self serving Fed reserve , Bankers ,politicians, and bureaucrats
I am a lifelong lover and collector ,accumulator of antique guns, primarily Winchesters ,not a trader , and would love to see the end of deception on the sale of guns, such as the always improving secret altering of an original
However I never have any compulsion to be a whistle-blower to government agencies on such matters of a couple years. These agencies are not really our allies, and I would avoid contact and let sleeping dogs lie before they have reason to awaken and bite me
