Wanted: Pristine like second or third model Winchester 1890, especially if it letters. What about a high condition third model with the stainless steel barrel, or a round barrel in .22 Short, Long Rifle, or WRF? PM me if you have something along these lines that you would be willing to sell.
Thanks,
James

I have a Winchester Model 1890 slide-action octagon barrel 22WRF rifle that I would like to sell. It has been in the family a long while (originally purchased by my great-grandfather for my grandfather when he was a boy). The rifle has always been maintained and stored well. To my knowledge, it has only been fired twice in the past 30+ years (and only with WRF ammo); prior to that it was stored at my Grandfather’s home in the attic and never fired since the time he was a boy. Based upon the serial number (111xxx) it looks like this rifle was manufactured in 1901. In my non-professional estimation, the rifle is original with some reasonable bluing and minimal wear. Photos of the rifle can be provided upon request. Also, I have a few boxes (4 to5) of the WRF ammo, some vintage and some purchased 15~20 years ago.
It may not be exactly what you are looking for but thought I would contact you just the same.
Regards,
Eric

Michael,
Did you buy this fellow’s 1890? If not, please let him know that I might be interested in doing so.
