WTS: 1939 Winchester Model 74 .22 Short. During the first year of production, Winchester only produced the Model 74 in .22 Short, other .22 cartridges came in later years. This rifle is a 4 digit serial number rifle making it a very early gun. The serial number is 7238. The bluing is about 90%, the stock is in excellent condition but has had a coat of varnish applied at some point. The rifling is good and it has all the correct original parts including correct screws.
