Hello all,
I have recently inherited my father in laws rifle, and can’t seem to find a serial number anywhere on it, could it not have a serial number? Any thoughts on this?
Rifle is a model 1886 in a 45-90 calibre.

Did you lift the lever and look on the lower tang?

Yes , I did lift the lever and there is nothing on the lower tang.
