Not sure if anyone has seen the post I made in the restoration but after talking to a few members, I really can not justify having these around the house. I am not a Winchester collector and I would think these would make nice additions to someones collection who is into this stuff (if these were 1911’s, they would be held onto forever).
So, I have two 1894 carbines up for sale! These are both well above average condition carbines in 100% original condition (from what I have been told). One rifle does have some of the “flaking” or discoloration on the receiver which sounds common and would indicate that the gun was carried and stored without being wiped down or cleaned and coated with a light coat of gun oil. The other is in fantastic condition and I would say the bluing is right around 90% The bores on both of the rifles are pristine! I would like to get $4600 shipped for the pair.
