It might fit, but the steps in the base are shaped differently, based on the catalog cuts.
This sight is actually the M1901 Krag sight, procured, I’d guess, directly from Springfield Armory.
Winchester purchased at least 15,000 of them, and installed them on the First and Second variation Winder Muskets.
