Any thoughts on this Vernier Tang Sight would be appreciated. I’m pretty sure this is a #36B, that fits more than one model Winchester. (1885,1886, 1892, and 1894.) Rifles and Carbines, alike.

It is an original Mid-Range Vernier sight, most commonly found on the Single Shot rifles, and very infrequently on the lever-action rifle models. The tang sight hole spacing is identical for the Models 1873, 1876, 1886, 1892, 1894, and the Single Shot.
In my opinion, the price tag on that sight is a bit too high.

Thanks guys, as I feel it’s a high price tag also.
It’s the only one I found, and on ebay.

Bert,
I’m in agreement, with you, as it would look right on a S.S. and very infrequently on the lever action rifles.

The pictures are over exposed so it’s hard to rate the blue. If it’s real nice original blue 90% $850. But it’s a later style thin base and maybe not that nice so maybe $750. In order to cross $1000 it would have to be in the box, to a sight collector the box is everything. T/R
