I picked up a 4 digit s/n model 55 in 32 WS. The rear sight elevator is missing.
But I don’t think it has the correct rear sight. I think it’s a 22 rimfire sight. As it has a real small notch.
Anyways, could someone tell me the correct sight for this rifle and maybe a picture.

If it’s .32WS, I’d assume it should have the special .32WS sight, as on ’94s. Unless an exception was made in the case of 55s.

The correct rear sight for all standard Model 55 rifles was a Flat-top sporting with a 1C elevator. Winchester never installed a .32 Smokeless sight on a Model 55 32 WS rifle.

That’s the sight I have, just missing the elevator.
Will check E-bay.
I have a Model 55 and a Model 53 with these sights.These sights, coupled with the I believe number 3 front sight, that came with them are my favourite iron sights.
