Check out this bad boy……

RARE ODD OLD Adjustable Rear Tang Peep Sight VINTAGE WINCHESTER ? | eBay

Someone had too much time on their hands and couldn’t afford a real one. Lots of effort in this one!

Chris,

Saw that one too. Reminds me of the Lyman 15

I see the Fall Collector magazine is online now.

Great, I’ll have to have a look at your ’73 light weight article!

Fortune was definitely smiling on Bob at that time!  I surely do like the rifle and the article!  Way to go, Bob.  Tim

Thanks Tim, I also like looking at your pair of engraved 73’s. Interesting that it was gold over nickel. I have seen gold over blue on one.

I suppose you noticed how little gold remained, too!  Tim

Wow, enjoyed the article. Glad you first of all found them, and second, able to win them all. I always forget about eBay for “finding” stuff other than a single part!

Thanks Jeremy, I was surprised when I saw the tang on Ebay but shocked when I looked at all the other parts of the gun on there. Someone must of been desperate to get rid of a gun in that manner. The tang was the first item up and when I got it for the opening bid I had to get the rest of the parts I needed so there was some high bids put on them and luckily not many other people were bidding. I got $1300 into the parts minus the receiver
