Can someone give the info on what model number tang sight fits the 65? Reproduction is ok with me also.

The Model 65 uses the same tang sight as the Model 92/53… a Lyman No. 1A (or 2A) with a “DA” application code.

The correct code would be D for 1892 and DA for 94 smokeless

When Winchester transitioned from the Model “1892” to the “92”, they began using the “DA” coded sights for the 25-20 and 32 WCF. I created the table below several years ago.

I stand corrected, I always check them in a early catalog. I dug up a later one (1939) and it lists the 53 and 65 ln 25 and 32 as DA

Where would one put a “WB” tang site on a mod. “99”, there ain’t no tang.

I believe that it was designed to attach to the upper stock wrist with wood screws.
