W8 fits a 1903 in my chart, but that chart isn’t new enough to cover the 61.  Ebay is the best source, if W8 isn’t correct.

I would try to stick with the Lyman W61 as this is what I’ve seen on most of the Model 61 pre-wars. I have a LR Octagon that has the Lyman tang sight, cant say that its factory, but it sure looks nice on it. As for finding one, I’m not sure other than Ebay as others noted. You might try Mike Richards too. He has a website, as I recall.

Ken Bean, the Sight Man from York, PA had one last September (2019) at the Syracuse gun show.  If I recall, he was looking to get $350 for it.  Excellent condition.  I didn’t need one but I was tempted to buy it anyway. Just because.

Because of the virus, there was no April show in Syracuse.

And truly unfortunate, Ken died a few weeks ago.  Ken was one of the best.  And Ken’s wife Louise is a real sweetheart.

We lost a real good one.

Rest in Peace Ken.

This is the last phone number I had for Mike. 701) 241-4440.  [email protected].  frontieramericanaoffargo.com.  My card file is old so this may not be good info.
