Hi.  Here are a couple of pics of the sights on my Model 1894 from 1908.  The rear is a MarbIMG_7995.jpegIMG_7994.jpegles carbine sight.  Were rifles ever shipped from the factory with carbine short sights?  Or is this perhaps added later in the rifles life?  If I were to change the rear sight what would be appropriate for this gun?

Marble’s front sights in 1911 catalog, but no rear sights.  Standard was #22A, Sporting Rear Sight, not hard to find on ebay.
