I’m trying to get a winchester 94 classic fixed up for my neighbor. It has a 26″ octagon barrel and according to the serial number list its from 67. I’ve been looking online but it seems all of the pics show the front sight is a dovetail on a ramp so its pretty short. This gun has the dovetail directly in the barrel and the measurement I got from whats left of the front sight its .554″ tall. I haven’t found anything that height. I’m trying to get a new front and rear sight.
Try this calculator. It will give you the hight based on the measurements you input.

Thanks that’s pretty cool. I didn’t know brownells had that. I will see what I can find but I believe that the original sight was this style but taller. Does anyplace sell this style but taller yet? https://www.gunpartscorp.com/products/1375280

I keep a few Lyman front sights purchased from Brownells for my “shooters”. Different heights and bead types/sizes available.
Ok so I’ve pretty much given up finding the exact front sight that was on it. So I’ve found these parts and need to know what height front I should order.
