Before I sell this sight, input as to if it is correct is requested, or if not correct, why?

I know I need a Winchester 22 sight for this rifle.  But, is the sight itself correct, and all I need is the proper elevator (which is obviously incorrect), or is the sight itself incorrect?IMG_2521.jpegImage Enlarger

The sight is correct and you need the 1901 elevator.

Excellent!  That’s what it looked like to me and I needed a brighter mind than mine to confirm this.

Now, who has the 1901 elevator that I need?

Also, who is in need of my elevator?  You pay for postage, it’s yours.

Edit:  This is no longer available.

I currently have a 1901 w/patent date elevator for sale in the swap meet on this forum.  Price is firm at $35 shipped.  Let me know if interested.  I may take your elevator for the cost of shipping–what would that be to ship to 97060 zip code?  If reasonable, I would deduct that amount from the price of my 1901 elevator.

Thanks,

Don

If you want it to be correct for the caliber they had different 1901 elevators for the different calibers of the 86. If you just want it to look right, it doesn’t matter.

From the Madis sight book:

1A elevator .210″ 38/56, 38/70, 40/65, 45/70 EX LT & 45/90 EX LT

1B elevator .162″ 33 cal, 45/70 EX LT & 45/90 EX LT

1C elevator .175″ 33 cal & 45/70 EX LT

I need the 1A elevator.  If you want this elevator, I think a small priority mail box is a flat rate of $10.40.

To be honest with you, I was hoping to offer it to someone who truly needs it as opposed to offering it to someone who will just flip it.  I can sell it for profit, too, but was doing something altruistic.
