Seeing this topic reminded me that I need a hood for one of my M94 carbines, 1938 vintage. Looking on eBay I see two types claiming to be pre-64 M94 front sight hoods. Does anyone know what is correct or what would be the source of the difference (or if one is not correct)?
One with one flat end:
And one contoured on both ends:

The hood that is contoured at both ends is the correct type.
