I RECENTLY PURCHASED A 1905 ERA MODEL 86 WITH SEVERAL BELLS AND WHISTLES, AS MY OLD BUDDY USE TO CALL THEM.  HALF ROUND BARREL, HALF MAG, SHOTGUN BUTT, LYMAN HUNTER FRONT SIGHT AND THIS REAR SIGHT.  IT APPEARS TO BE A WINCHESTER SIGHT.  I CANNOT FIND ANY INFO ABOUT IT.  WHAT IS IT?  WHAT MODEL #?  WHAT IS THE SCARCITY?  THANKS FOR ANY INFO PROVIDED!!

I am 99.9% sure that it is not an original “Winchester” sight.  It is not depicted or shown in any of the many different reference documents that I have the list Winchester sights.  Like Chuck, I have never seen another one like it.

THAT DANIELS CONCENTRIC IS VERY CLOSE.  THE MUZZLE END OF THE SIGHT IS SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT AND MY ELEVATOR HAS MORE ELEVATION NOTCHES AND A DIFFERENT STYLE END. HE POSSIBLY MADE SEVERAL DIFFERENT STYLES OF THIS SIGHT, BUT I WOULD DEFINATLY SAY THIS IS ONE OF HIS.  THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE INFO. PLEASE POST IF YOU FIND MORE!   NOW I GOTTA SEE IF IT LETTERS TO THE RIFLE.

Glad I could help and also glad to hear you are interested in the Model 1895 book.   We’ll definitely get the word out when it’s ready for sale and we’d be happy to sign one for you.  Thanks.

Jr. Stewart and I were talking about this just yesterday in Vegas.  We are both waiting for the book.
