Does anyone around repair the old W1 tang sight?
I’ve got one that doesnt work right. Zero spring tension and it appears no way to create any. The spring tang goes in both end plates but neither plate is “fixed” so it never gets any tension to pop up the sight and hold it up.
Thoughts?

I had one that I was able to repair successfully. There is a heavy coiled spring inside that has to be assembled with a preload. It can be a frustrating experience but I was able to do it with help from the posting here ….

The real key to getting them back together with spring tension is the positioning of the side hubs that hold the spring in place. Read down to the post from
