Wondering what others prefer for front sight on the 1894 rifle. Not so much the most desirable as that seems to be the No.5 folding globe.
My fav is the Lyman hunting No 4. I just like the look.

Lots of great front sights. I like the triple bead sight, too, aka the morning, noon, and night sight, by some people.

The Lyman no 4 doesn’t show close to the same value in Stroebel’s book but I’ve seem them in mint condition for the same price as the no 5. The Beach’s is another story with even higher value.
