I can find zero on this Lyman rear peep sight on a 1947 made Winchester 52B. It appears to have a ’59’ marked on the left side, but I can’t find any references to that number sight. Any help I’d appreciate. Value? Thanks.

A #524, a factory option, but which the Lyman Journal says was introduced in 1948, though that may not be exactly right.  (Quite valuable–check “sold” ebay listings.)  Looks like the index plate, with 1/4 min graduations, has been installed backwards. Take it off & reverse it.

Even 52 trigger-shoes have become damned hard to find.  VERY nice package!
