OfflineSteve,
We have an apt saying down in South Texas:
¡ Gato escaldado del agua fria huye!
[A scalded cat flees cold water.]
My worst scar tissue has come from auctions of classes of objects I did not sufficiently understand. There was no “when in doubt” to save me from the flames because I didn’t know what to worry about.
By this small but irritating error, you may have spared yourself a truly catastrophic loss that might have otherwise occurred in the future.
We all pay some tuition along the way. Welcome to the club.

"I have seen wicked men and fools, a great many of both, and I believe they both get paid in the end, but the fools first." -- David Balfour, narrator and protagonist of the novel, Kidnapped, by Robert Louis Stevenson.

Steve, while that packet from Lyman is in transit, you need to book airfare to Las Vegas while you’re still hot! Those Italian cousins of yours ought to comp your room and bar tab for the sake of the publicity you’ll generate at the high limit Blackjack table — a flash winner out of nowhere brings the rubes in and the house nets out big time.
I’m getting faint at the notion.
I remember not too many years ago when I called RCBS with a technical question and after getting my answer we chatted a bit and I happened to mention Midway was out of decapping pins. After determining the correct pin they shipped a few gratis. Was reminded of that recently when I realized I was down to my last small pin. Like this Lyman screw the goodwill is far more valuable than the cost of a small part.
